Product Description

Good cider starts with good juice, and good juice starts with great apples – Spreyton Cider Co.

Spreyton has been home to the families of Spreyton Cider Co since the mid 1800’s, since 1908 they have been growing apples in this picturesque valley. For four generations they have grown the highest quality fruit for the people of Tasmania and the world.

Spreyton Cider Co’s traditional ciders are made using the time honoured cider making techniques of England and France, and as you might expect at 7.5 – 8% ABV they pack a punch in more ways than one! These flavour packed ciders are fermented in the bottle to produce lightly carbonated ciders reminiscent in appearance to fine champagne. By using a range of different apple varieties carefully selected and crushed at the optimum time Spreyton Cider co is able to produce different flavour profiles and levels of dryness.

The traditional cider making techniques used to make this range deliver complex flavour profiles ideally suited to matching with a quality cheese platter or a meal, or simply enjoy a sophisticated cider taste experience at your favourite wine bar.

Spreyton Cider Co is the latest venture from Spreyton Fresh, the home of the finest Fresh Apple Juice since 1998. The cidery located on our working orchards was constructed in 2012 with our first bottling taking place in October 2012. Building on our expertise in producing fresh apple juice, our cider maker has produced a range of ciders that are classic examples of the cider maker’s art.

All our ciders are made from 100% Tasmanian apples and pears, with the majority grown on our own orchards right here in the picturesque Mersey Valley. We use traditional cider making techniques with a modern twist to create our unique range of ciders. All of our cider undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle and is then bottle conditioned to achieve a light carbonation and a supreme flavour.
