This well-balanced refreshing summer wine is made exclusively with Merlot grapes, a unique characteristic in the Rose wine category, where blended varieties have been more mainstream. Located in the heart of the world-renowned Coonawarra district, Reschke’s head wine maker Peter Douglas has worked hard to produce a ‘grown-up’ and extremely appetizing wine, bursting in red berry flavor, with a crisp finish.
Underground Winemakers ‘Violets’ Moscato
In authentic Moscato style of barely fermented wine filtered straight into bottle. Pale pink colour; aroma of strawberries & rockmelon; gentle fizz and lusciousness captured from a cool fermentation.
Woodstock ‘Little Miss Collett’ Moscato
Pale translucent pink hues. Intense musk aromas on the nose with an underlying tropical fruit character. Similar to the nose, the palate starts off with nuances of musk and rosewater, followed by star fruit and tropical banana flavours. The fruit sweetness on the mid-plate is balanced off nicely with a zingy, lemon sherbet finish. Fine beads help to fill the mouth with flavour while natural grape acids balance the fruity Muscat sweetness.
Less sugar than most Australian Moscato styles, this sophisticated wine shows appealing finesse with a balanced depth of lingering flavour.
Chateau de Ferrages ‘Roumery’ Rosé
A blend of Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah. Rose petal colour with fresh and fruity aromas of red fruit. On the palate a good balance between freshness, structure, acidity and alcohol with a rich and soft body with red fruit dominating. Best enjoyed chilled with all kinds of food.
King River Estate Vermentino
Originating from the Italian region of Liguria, and the Mediterranean islands of Corsica and Sardinia. The nose is a mix of ripe stone fruits, wild herbs and citrus. The palate continues this theme offering texture and a real depth in flavour. Clean bright acidity cleans the palate and makes you reach for a second glass!
